Concorso d’eleganza Villa d’Este 2021
After a year’s stop due to the pandemic, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is finally back. It took place from 1 to 3 October in a limited version due to anti-Covid regulations.
This year 50 historic cars were displayed on the shores of Lake Como, divided into eight classes, each of which summarizes the period of reference:
Class A: “Lo stile del 20. Secolo: dalla Torpedo Touring alla Roadster corsaiola”;
Class B: “Svolgimento del tema: Spazio, Ritmo e Grazia”;
Class C: “Showroom Showdown: la battaglia fra Gran Bretagna e Germania per la supremazia nel lusso”;
Class D: “Granturismo all’italiana: cercando la ricetta per la GT perfetta”;
Class E: “Big Band, dagli Anni 40 fino ai magnifici Anni 80: cinque decenni di Endurance racing”;
Class F: “Una passione per la perfezione: i 90 anni di Pininfarina”;
Class G: “La nascita delle Supercar: auto estreme all’italiana”;
Class H: “La nuova generazione: Hypercar degli Anni 90”.
FERRARI 250 GT CALIFORNIA SWB
Class F winner
We had the pleasure of entering the competition with a Ferrari 250 GT California SWB that we just finished restoring.
It was awarded as the winner of the F class and we are very proud of it.
Being held on the first weekend of October instead of May made the event special anyway because Cernobbio and Lake Como are always an enchanting place to admire eight decades of masterpieces of automotive aesthetics.
